Presenter:  Mike Scharnell from VER Sales, Inc

As the Regional Manager for Protecta International in 1999, Mike received 6 weeks of fall protection training from one of the largest manufacturers worldwide. After two years of handling the training and account management in the western 13 states, it was time to focus on training end-users and working with customers primarily in California, Arizona, and Nevada. In 2001 Mike joined VER Sales, Inc. to provide training and manage the engineered systems installations for their customers. Los Angeles Department of Water & Power, U.S. Navy Search & Rescue, Sony Pictures, Berg Electric, Staples Center, Universal Studios, Knotts Berry Farm and California Ski Industry Association are just a few of the companies that have been trained by Mike Scharnell. While working for Protecta in 2000 Mike got his first glimpse of Rope Access and Rescue equipment and training. In 2003 he became a SPRAT Certified Rope Access Technician and also added Tower Rescue training to his list of credits. Formally trained by Ropeworks, the industry leader in Rope Access training, Mike has also had training from Petzl, MSA, DBI/ SALA, Miller, Latchways, Tractel and OSHA among others.
